The Veteran Leadership Course is a transformative program designed to equip veterans with the skills and support necessary to excel in civilian life. Vantage Point Foundation offers this three-day course, and six-month support continuum, free of charge for all post-9/11 veterans in South Carolina.
You are eligible for this course if you have:
The Veteran Leadership Course has been referred to as the “best debrief the DOD never gave you”. Our three day course is facilitated by a team of veterans and military connected professionals, who understand the benefits and challenges of successful transition. You will receive instruction, take part in exercises, and be given tools that provide an opportunity to look introspectively at where you’ve been and translate insights into an actionable path forward. Our course is guided by what we refer to as the Big 3: making peace with the past, living in the present, and having purpose for the future.
After the course, you will enter phase II of the program, where, for the next six months you will continue to push forward towards the goals set in phase I. Here, you will continue to benefit from having access to a mentor who is a fellow veteran that has demonstrated a high degree of civilian success and is connected to the community. Also at your disposal are our clinical case managers who are available to coordinate care for any additional needs. Whether you seek guidance from a mentor, assistance from a clinical case manager or coach, or choose to tap into VPF’s veteran network, our resources are at your disposal. No individual’s goals are the same, so each participant’s path is unique; we adapt to support your needs as you continue to push forward with self-sufficiency.
At Vantage Point Foundation, we are committed to providing veterans with the tools they need to succeed in their post-military lives. Our Veteran’s Leadership Course (VLC) is designed to foster leadership skills, build community, and empower veterans as they transition to civilian life. We are excited to announce the dates and locations for our 2025 VLC sessions:
Each session of our Veteran’s Leadership Course offers a unique opportunity for veterans to connect with peers, gain valuable insights, and develop the leadership qualities necessary for success in their civilian careers. Whether you’re a recent veteran or have been out of the service for a while, our courses are tailored to meet you where you are in your journey.
