TOGETHER WE ARE
Building a Community
Vantage Point offers a course where you are backed by a community of spouses, partners, and significant others, with shared experiences and understanding. We provide the time, space, and tools to take action, aligning who you are with what you want. This weekend course is free of charge for post 9/11 spouses in South Carolina and neighboring states.
You are eligible for this course if you are:
- A current or former spouse, partner, and/or significant other of a veteran who served on active duty after September 10th, 2001.
- A gold star spouse
- Able to commute from outside of South Carolina
- A spouse, partner, and/or significant other of an active duty service member with an established end of service date
Our Veteran Spouse Retreat
The common thread that unites spouses of active duty service members is the shared mission of selfless service. We understand and see each other, lean on each other, and build a community. As we transition alongside our service members, there is a palpable sense of loss. The loss of the community that carried us, and the community we cared for.
We are excited to announce the dates and locations for our upcoming VSR sessions:
- VSR 1: March 13-15, 2026
Location: Charleston, SC - VSR 2: October 16-18, 2026
Location: Charleston, SC
Post service life, we often realize we focused on the needs of our veterans and our families without pause to consider our needs and goals. We no longer see a straight path forward. This course offers the opportunity to make peace with the past, connect with ourselves and others in the present, and find what our purpose may look like in the future.
