PHASE I

The Veteran Leadership Course

The Veteran Leadership Course has been referred to as the “best debrief the DOD never gave you”. Our three day course is facilitated by a team of veterans and military connected professionals, who understand the benefits and challenges of successful transition. You will receive instruction, take part in exercises, and be given tools that provide an opportunity to look introspectively at where you’ve been and translate insights into an actionable path forward. Our course is guided by what we refer to as the Big 3: making peace with the past, living in the present, and having purpose for the future.

  • Connect with other veterans who have shared experiences and are in the midst of transition.
  • Enjoy the time and space to focus on what’s next without distraction.
  • Benefit from a network of veteran mentors who have successfully transitioned and are willing to share their experiences, and insights.
  • Explore support provided by a team of professionals who understand what it means to serve.
PHASE II

The 6 Month Support Continuum

After the course, you will enter phase II of the program, where, for the next six months you will continue to push forward towards the goals set in phase I. Here, you will continue to benefit from having access to a mentor who is a fellow veteran that has demonstrated a high degree of civilian success and is connected to the community. Also at your disposal are our clinical case managers who are available to coordinate care for any additional needs. Whether you seek guidance from a mentor, assistance from a clinical case manager or coach, or choose to tap into VPF’s veteran network, our resources are at your disposal. No individual’s goals are the same, so each participant’s path is unique; we adapt to support your needs as you continue to push forward with self-sufficiency.
